Banbury trip!

In the half term week of May/June 2005 my father and I took Khayamanzi down the Oxford canal to Banbury and back to do some shopping! Apart from managing to snap both alternator belts at the same time just outside Brinklow arches, (hats off to RCR who got us up and running again in a little over an hour on a Bank holiday Sunday!) and having to queue for 2 and a half hours at the Claydon flight, the trip was fairly uneventful!

Very busy with hundreds of hire boats adding to the entertainment and weather ranging from glorious sunshine to howling wind and hammering rain. I was forced on two evenings to light the cabin stove again!

Interesting to note it is 2 hours cruising from Marston turn to Trinity marina and 10 hours cruising from Braunston to Trinity, (plus 4 locks.)

Total miles travelled - 106

Total locks completed - 50

Total hours cruised - 60.45
