The Kennet and Avon trip

An interesting trip to say the least! An interesting experience of navigating the Thames single handed as well as cruising the Kennet and Avon and negotiating the hundreds of poorly maintained locks and swing bridges! The Caen Hill flight was the highlight of the trip and the many, many untaxed and over-staying gypsy boats were by far the low point. In fact, they were the single reason we turned round, gave up and returned home! I've done the K&A but certainly won't return in a hurry!!
